Brief - Design a full-scale luminaire with a 1W LED that should solve a lighting problem in a public space.
Problem - Lighting consumes 20% of electrical energy, mainly in public spaces. But LED technology can help reduce this precentage when used correctly. However, excessive artificial lighting creates light pollution, which wastes energy and light, and can disrupt our sleep cycle and wildlife.
Strong lighting that creates glare and sharp shadows can disrupt our vision and night vision. To avoid this, we can use the sky’s natural light and luminaires as guidance, rather than causing discomfort and visual interruptions.
